These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Talkingskill.com and its conversation-practice game (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Talkingskill.com is a free, educational tool for practicing communication and language skills through interactive roleplay scenarios. Scenarios, characters and feedback are fictional and provided for learning and entertainment.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

You may sign in using a third-party provider (Google, Facebook or X). You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, harassing or abusive purpose;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, hack, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its data;
• scrape, copy, resell or commercially exploit the Service or its content without permission;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the Service;
• cheat, manipulate or falsify leaderboard standings, XP, streaks or other progress.

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms.

5. Intellectual property

All content, scenarios, text, graphics, characters, logos and software that make up the Service are owned by Talkingskill.com or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own learning. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. User conduct & fair play

The public leaderboard relies on honest play. Display names and avatars must not be offensive, misleading or infringe anyone’s rights. We may remove content or accounts that breach this.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Talkingskill.com is an educational practice tool only; its scenarios, replies, scores and tips are simulated and are not professional, psychological, legal, career or relationship advice. We do not guarantee any particular result, improvement, availability or that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted. You use it at your own discretion and risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talkingskill.com and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

9. Termination

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service, or your access to it, at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Talkingskill.com operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
